# AgentTwin MCP servers and connection guide

Connect AgentTwin's public documentation MCP over Streamable HTTP or run local coding-agent tools to create, run, inspect and reset test worlds.

AgentTwin provides two MCP interfaces: a public documentation server for learning how agent testing works, and a local CLI server for working with your repository.

## Public documentation MCP

Connect a remote MCP client to `https://agenttwin.si/mcp/docs` using Streamable HTTP. No account, API key or client secret is required. The server exposes `search_docs` and `read_doc` for public documentation. It cannot read customer projects, execute workflows or change account data.

For clients that accept this MCP configuration format:

```json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "agenttwin-docs": {
      "url": "https://agenttwin.si/mcp/docs"
    }
  }
}
```

Client configuration formats vary; select a remote Streamable HTTP connection when your client provides a setup form. Search for a topic, then read the returned document to confirm supported behavior. The public endpoint has an aggregate per-instance quota of 600 requests per minute; honor `Retry-After` when throttled.

## Official registry identity

The [official MCP Registry listing](https://registry.modelcontextprotocol.io/?q=io.github.Sashank-Singh%2Fagenttwin-docs) publishes `io.github.Sashank-Singh/agenttwin-docs`, version `1.0.0`. Its website URL links back to [AgentTwin developer resources](/developers/) and its remote URL points to the endpoint above. This listing describes public documentation, not hosted customer execution.

The [official public agent-tools repository](https://github.com/Sashank-Singh/agenttwin-agent-tools) contains skills and MCP configuration. The application implementation repository remains private.

[AgentTwin Documentation on Glama](https://glama.ai/mcp/connectors/io.github.Sashank-Singh/agenttwin-docs) also lists this endpoint and its two documentation tools.

## Local workflow tools

With Node.js 22.12 or newer, run `npx agenttwin mcp` as a stdio process with its working directory set to your application repository. A client may configure the command as `npx` and arguments as `["agenttwin", "mcp"]`; configure its repository working directory separately.

Local tools can create a world, run a scenario, inspect recorded assertions, reset its baseline and verify evidence. See the [CLI reference](/docs/cli/#coding-agent-tools) for complete input contracts. These tools use your local process permissions. Review application files and fixtures before execution; local execution is not a filesystem or network sandbox.

Start with the [runnable quickstart](/docs/quickstart/) or [prepare an application workflow](/docs/preparation/). Use the [REST API guide](/docs/api/) for authenticated workspace metadata and cloud test jobs.
